Our History
Quincy Herbals started in a small office in Ikoyi on June 16, 1996.
The founder, Dr. Quincy Olasumbo Ayodele descends from a long line of traditional medicine practitioners. Many years ago, her grandmother gave her a mixture of herbs to help her lose weight.
Over time, Quincy realized the efficacy of herbal remedies for weight loss, obesity and other medical conditions. After graduating from the Nigerian College of Natural Medicine as a qualified Naturopath, she expanded her treatments to include herbal slimming.
Quincy has fought long and hard and single handedly changed the negative stigma associated with Herbal Medicine; persistently spreading awareness and educating the public about the proper use of medical plants. As a result, Dr. Quincy Olasumbo Ayodele is recognized as a WHO expert in African traditional medicines.
Our Future
Over the years, Quincy Herbal has grown tremendously with several branches in Nigeria and a strong international presence. The Quincy brand evolved as it grew, and currently, Quincy is recognized as the foremost Integrative healthcare center in Nigeria with the daughter of Dr. Quincy Olasumbo Ayodele in person of Dr. Tobi Keeney, functioning as the Managing Director of Quincy Wellness and Naturopathic Centre.
Dr. Tobi Keeney who is a passionate advocate for the collaboration between traditional and conventional medicine has been able to successfully push the Quincy brand into international markets. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biochemistry, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in critical care, health administration and leadership from the University of Maryland.
